As a relative newcomer to Fayetteville (I endured my first BBB last Sept) this wonderfully funky home-grown and unpretentious celebration of community was a breath of fresh air. Literally. Many people walked or bicycled to this small-carbon-footprint event — you can’t get more local than that. Thanks to all the businesses that pulled this together without a subsidy from the city or chamber. Looks to me like Block St is asserting itself beautifully as Funk Central in Fayetteville–and there’s no reason we can’t make sure it stays that way. Block St Rocks! Let’s do it again next year!
